We have again imported another puppy- this wonderful girl comes directly from Turkey. Kangal dogs are viewed as a cherished national symbol and cultural heritage. They represent strength, dignity and loyalty.

Due to export restrictions from Turkey, you must follow strict export laws in order to obtain these wonderful animals. We are now collaborating with other breeders in the region who have genetic lines from Turkish breeders. These lines must be PROVEN for UKC registration eligibility. IF you are importing you must follow KIF/ CDC laws/ rules.

Kangals have historically served as protectors for sheep and other livestock against larger predators like wolves, jackals, and bears.

Meet Betul

Betul is our first Turkish import. In Turkish tradition, Kangals are given a Turkish name, no matter where they reside. We have promised the Turkish breeders that we are friends with that we will honor our Kangal Dogs. So Betul means "pure", "chaste" and "virtuous"

Betul is our 7th Kangal purebred. She is in the puppy phase of working things out to see if she will qualify as a breeder.

We are PROUD to announce her lineage is a first line of this genetic lineage to be in this country as a breeder, as a KDCA approved breeder.

As her status changes and she is given the green light to proceed as a breeder- Her accomplishments will be posted here with her paperwork as well.
