Freeze Dried Homemade Country Gravy with Sausage
We have done it again. Created a magically delicious creation- surely to make your taste buds incredibly happy. Homemade Country Sausage Gravy- literally the way Grandma used to make. This begins with mild (farm raised) pork sausage, browned to perfection, then we add flour to create a roux then we add raw (farm raised) cow milk (full fat) to complete this heavenly concoction we call country gravy.
One of our lifetime goals was to purchase a freeze dryer to make and preserve our own foods. We also want to share our stuff with others. We want to share our lifestyle as well. We welcome people out to the farm to get hands on experience of our day to day joys. You don't have to own a farm to enjoy the fruits of our labors. We know not everyone is made for the farm life. Another reason we want to offer up our goods- people that appreciate real food, hard work and want to support local farmers like us.
3 oz mylar bag of dry gravy mix- reconstitute with 9 oz or less of HOT water depending on how thick you want your gravy, let sit 3-4 mins and breakfast is done minus the biscuits. This has a very long (25+ yrs) shelf life if stored properly.
If you want to know more about this FREEZE DRYING process, please look up www.harvestright.com for more insight in this process.
